What is CGI?

CGI, or Common Gateway Interface, is the most widely used scripting language in the internet. It is a Unix-based scripting language used to enhance the functions of a website. Most common interactive website functions that may use CGI scripts are Guestbook, Inquiry Forms, Databases, Polling Centers, Messageboards, among others.
