What is MySQL?

MySQL is a fast, easy-to-use, multi-user SQL (Standard Query Language) database server in a standard client/server environment. SQL is the most commonly used method of defining, manipulating, and searching data in a database. MySQL handles graphics as well as text datas. It is frequesntly implemented in UNIX and LINUX platforms and is available under a GNU Public License.
